Dr. Diana Maynard is a Senior Research Fellow in the Computer Science Department at the University of Sheffield, UK. With a PhD in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and over 30 years of experience in the field, she is one of the key developers of the GATE NLP toolkit and a leader in developing open-source multilingual text analysis tools.

🔍 Her main research interests include: practical, multidisciplinary approaches to text and social media analysis across various fields such as cultural heritage, human rights, law, journalism, sustainability and the environment, geography, politics, and natural disasters.
